Taking the course Applied Business Math online?

If your experience with this online course is anything like mine then you found the experience lacking, in many aspects.  Not only was the instructor not involved in the class there were no assignments. (What am I paying for?)

The instruction included read the chapters from the book.

The instructor "highly recommended the Student Solutions Manual and Study Guide for use with Practical Business Math Procedures if Available".

I learned very little from this class and more importantly I had to find learning material on my own since there were no assignments to complete.  The grade for the classes consisted of quiz and test materials only.  As the months went on, I was able to come across some websites that were of some help. (The links are posted below).

Helpful websites:

McGraw-Hill website with multiple choice questions and pre/post tests for each chapter

Helpful course material at

I also discovered there are math tutors online, some free, some paid a minute charge of $3 dollars.
